While several electric trucks are on the market today, shoppers and drivers are often concerned about their battery range. The 2025 RAM 1500 Ramcharger, which is a revived nameplate, addresses that concern. This is an electric, full-size truck that has been engineered with an extended battery range through an associated gas engine. While it is based on the popular RAM 1500 truck, the RAM 1500 Ramcharger is an all-new model in the lineup.
The RAM 1500 Ramcharger comes with a 130-kilowatt generator and a 92-kilowatt-hour battery pack. The power generator is tied to the V6, 3.6-liter engine. When the battery runs out of power, the V6 engine kicks in to get the truck down the road. In addition, the V6 engine provides additional power when towing and in other high-demand situations. The RAM 1500 Ramcharger benefits from 663 total horsepower and requires only 4.4 seconds to hit 60 miles per hour. Its maximum payload is 2,626 pounds, and its towing capacity is 14,000 pounds. You can travel 150 miles on all-electric power. With both the electric and gas sources, the total range is 690 miles.
The 2025 RAM 1500 Ramcharger's exterior is a sleeker version of the standard RAM 1500 truck. It has a streamlined yet sculpted hood with a subtly rounded front end. The wide grille and lower fascia both have a wavy pattern. The RAM logo on the grille has modernized font, and the accompanying accent bars extend laterally to connect with the LED-outlined, rectangular headlights. The bottom of the door panels is smooth except for a horizontal accent line, and the upper portion of the doors is confidently sculpted.
Inside, the 1500 Ramcharger's available or included features are a Klipsch audio system with 23 speakers and a subwoofer, heated leather seats, massaging front seats, a 14-inch infotainment system screen, a 10.3-inch passenger infotainment system screen, a 12.3-inch digital driver's instrument screen, dual wireless phone chargers, adaptive cruise control, and other advanced features.
